TRIALS AND TRIUMPHS

I will be in a new anthology entitled Trials and Triumph scheduled to be out in January, 2014.

It is compilation of forty stories that will help you on your own journey of a closer walk with the Lord. The stories will soothe your aching heart, give you hope when you are in terrible trials and show you how others triumphed over adversity or plowed through the darkness.

The link to faithwriters is below. Watch for it!  Further info to follow when Testimony book is ready.

THERE IS NO PEACE

We walk the sidewalks in the cities, the sandy beaches of the coastlines, and
the pathways of gardens and forests searching for peace. We climb the tallest
 peaks and don't know why.

Our minds spew exquisitely painful thoughts and emotions of our past and
our fears of a seemingly unknown future haunt and leave nothing but the
futility of life.

We try to drown them out with constant noise, work and play but, nonetheless,
the agonizing thoughts creep in; no quiet time do we seek. We would prefer
chaos to quiet.

Graveyards are quiet places yet angels weep as they hear tormented souls from
below screaming, "Give me another chance.” But all hope is gone. The tortured
souls desperate for relief find none.

Those of us who seek the truth through quiet introspection connect and become one
with their Creator receive joy and peace abounding. But for the rest of humanity
There is no peace

Songs without a Melody

Before I started writing articles and stories, I first wrote some songs. But someday I would like to get a melody for some of them.  Here are two of them:  I guess maybe they are better as poems.

                                                        WE NEED A SAVIOR

Everyone is looking for the meaning of life, why are we here, why is there strife, why is there pain. We need a Savior and He will explain..

We need a Savior to show the way, the way to fulfillment He can give you today. We need a Savior to convict us of sin if we live in our pride we never will win.

The Savior will do what no one else can -- He will lead you and teach you and cleanse you of sin. He will make you a new person and fill  you with peace -- new heights you will certainly reach.

Ask the Spirit of Jesus to fill you and make a home in your heart. His gift will be eternal -- you will be heir to a King. Your questions will be answered the meaning of life will become clear - to give God the glory that is why we are here.

                                                            THE PRAYER

CHORUS

I have but one desire - to know Jesus. To be conformed to His likeness, this I pray. To be a willing vessel where His light can shine. To be close to Him and more like Him I pray.

Verses:

Jesus changes lives there is no doubt. But fear is strong and many do not seek Him out. What is lost is gain then only goodness remains.

We do not choose Jesus, He chooses us. He roams around the world seeking someone He can trust. He needs people who are willing to submit and put their own desires aside. People who no longer live in their pride.

Jesus needs people who are willing to pay the price. To learn, grow and mature and put Him first in their life. A hurting world is waiting for the love of Jesus Christ.

God's Timing the Hard Way

All who have experienced receiving a word from the Lord and a special promise from Him knows the fulfillment will take a long time. We have to learn and grow and touch the cross in order to receive what He is planning to give us. The wait can be excruciating.

Every time I hear the words in God's time, tears fill my eyes, because my friend and I have been waiting for sixteen years for the promise. It is yet to be fulfilled.

In the sixteen year journey, I have learned a lot about how the Lord deals with his children. If He gives us a special knowledge of the future and what part we would play in His Divine Plan, He expects us to surrender are desires and that sounds easy, but it isn't. He would like to fill us so completely that we become nothing so He can become everything in us. People would notice a light emanating from our being and they would be attracted to us and want what we have. We could then talk about the Gospel, the Good News for mankind. He died, suffered and was buried, but he rose again. And if we put our faith in Him we will be covered by His blood, and receive our inheritance.

Waiting on God - The Vision - the Promise - the Fulfillment
A Journey: full of blessings and lessons, hardships and suffering

The above is the title of a short book that I will be writing in the near future. We have yet to see the fulfillment.

Waiting for the promise to be fulfilled has been my life for the last sixteen years. Wait, Wait, not yet!

He will bring it to fruition at the proper time. God works when we pray. I have been praying a long time for this to happen. Praise God.
