Songs without a Melody

Before I started writing articles and stories, I first wrote some songs. But someday I would like to get a melody for some of them.  Here are two of them:  I guess maybe they are better as poems.

                                                        WE NEED A SAVIOR

Everyone is looking for the meaning of life, why are we here, why is there strife, why is there pain. We need a Savior and He will explain..

We need a Savior to show the way, the way to fulfillment He can give you today. We need a Savior to convict us of sin if we live in our pride we never will win.

The Savior will do what no one else can -- He will lead you and teach you and cleanse you of sin. He will make you a new person and fill  you with peace -- new heights you will certainly reach.

Ask the Spirit of Jesus to fill you and make a home in your heart. His gift will be eternal -- you will be heir to a King. Your questions will be answered the meaning of life will become clear - to give God the glory that is why we are here.

                                                            THE PRAYER

CHORUS

I have but one desire - to know Jesus. To be conformed to His likeness, this I pray. To be a willing vessel where His light can shine. To be close to Him and more like Him I pray.

Verses:

Jesus changes lives there is no doubt. But fear is strong and many do not seek Him out. What is lost is gain then only goodness remains.

We do not choose Jesus, He chooses us. He roams around the world seeking someone He can trust. He needs people who are willing to submit and put their own desires aside. People who no longer live in their pride.

Jesus needs people who are willing to pay the price. To learn, grow and mature and put Him first in their life. A hurting world is waiting for the love of Jesus Christ.
